Inventory Manager API · items

Stop expecting a purchase order's units for this SKU

POST /items/{sku}/incoming/cancel

Stop expecting a purchase order's units for this SKU, at every site at once — issued by purchasing when an order is cancelled, short-closed with its remainder cancelled, or its lines rewritten (the rewrite cancels, then expects the new quantity).

Appends inventory.incoming-cancelled; an order with nothing expected here appends nothing. reference is required and is the idempotency key: a retry with the same reference is acknowledged with the current document and appends nothing.

Access

Requires purchasing:write.

How scopes come from roles: Scopes and roles. Getting a token: Authentication and app tokens.

Retries

reference is required and is the idempotency key: a retry with the same reference is acknowledged with the current document and appends nothing.

A retry with the same key answers 200, with what the first call recorded.

Why every write carries a key: Idempotency and retries.

Facts appended

  • inventory.incoming-cancelled

What a fact is: Facts and the journal.

AI agent tool

No agent tool. Issued by purchasing when a purchase order is cancelled, short-closed or rewritten; an agent changes the PO (purchasing_update_po, purchasing_cancel_po, purchasing_close_po) instead.

Connecting an agent: AI agents.

Example

The purchase order is cancelled: its 24 units are no longer expected.

The panel writes this call in other languages. It does not send it: Manifold's APIs do not take calls from a web page on another site, so run the call from your own code or terminal. The whole API as OpenAPI: inventory-manager.openapi.json. Base URL https://inventory.getmanifold.io.
