The published rate converting currency into the organization's home currency on date
GET /fx/reference-rate
The published rate converting currency into the organization's home currency on date (YYYY-MM-DD): rate units of the home currency per one unit of currency, the central bank's figure for the last day it published on or before date, at most a fortnight back.
The bank local to the home currency is asked first (the RBA for AUD, the RBNZ for NZD, the ECB for EUR, the Bank of England for GBP, the Fed for USD, the Bank of Canada for CAD, Norges Bank for NOK, Danmarks Nationalbank for DKK); then the ECB, the Fed, the Bank of England, the Bank of Canada, Norges Bank, Danmarks Nationalbank, the RBA and the RBNZ in turn, each directly when the currency is its own or as a cross through it (via). source and rateDate say whose figure and which day; the home currency itself answers rate 1 with no source. The rates are the banks' own figures, kept from 1999-12 and refreshed every few hours from Frankfurter's relay of each bank's series; the RBNZ's end 2026-10-15 (its terms forbid automated access), after which NZD converts through the ECB's cross. 409 ReferenceRateUnavailable when no bank publishes the currency (unquoted) or none did in the fortnight before date (no-rate). Read-only.
