Say how a channel's orders are coming in

PUT /channels/{channelId}/intake

Say how a channel's orders are coming in — the call the app providing the channel makes as that changes: whether it is still bringing the channel's existing orders across (importing), and how many orders the channel sent that it could not create in Manifold (notBroughtIn, each listed with its reason and a retry on the app's own page at the channel's settingsPath).

The channel answers it as intake, which the Orders screen shows. Only the app providing the channel reports, under its own token: 403 ChannelNotYours for a person's token or another app's; 404 ChannelNotFound. Appends inventory.channel-intake-reported. Idempotent by content: a report that changes nothing is acknowledged and appends nothing.

Access

Requires integrations:write.

How scopes come from roles: Scopes and roles. Getting a token: Authentication and app tokens.

Retries

Idempotent by content: a report that changes nothing is acknowledged and appends nothing.

Why every write carries a key: Idempotency and retries.

Facts appended

  • inventory.channel-intake-reported

What a fact is: Facts and the journal.

AI agent tool

No agent tool. Called by the app that provides the channel as its orders come in or are refused; an agent reads the channel's intake with inventory_list_channels and a store's refused orders with the app's own tools.

Connecting an agent: AI agents.

Example

The web store's app says two of its orders could not be brought in.

The panel writes this call in other languages. It does not send it: Manifold's APIs do not take calls from a web page on another site, so run the call from your own code or terminal. The whole API as OpenAPI: inventory-manager.openapi.json. Base URL https://inventory.getmanifold.io.
