Inventory Manager API · channels
Say what about a channel needs a person's attention
PUT /channels/{channelId}/attention
Say what about a channel needs a person's attention — the call the app providing the channel makes as that changes: the whole list (items, at most 20; empty when nothing does), each a kind the app declares, a severity (critical, warning), the message in the merchant's words and the admin link where it is sorted (its app's page; the channel's settingsPath when absent).
The channel answers it as attention, which the home dashboard shows for any app. Only the app providing the channel reports, under its own token: 403 ChannelNotYours for a person's token or another app's; 404 ChannelNotFound. Appends inventory.channel-attention-reported. Idempotent by content: a report that changes nothing is acknowledged and appends nothing.
Access
Requires integrations:write.
How scopes come from roles: Scopes and roles. Getting a token: Authentication and app tokens.
Retries
Idempotent by content: a report that changes nothing is acknowledged and appends nothing.
Why every write carries a key: Idempotency and retries.
Facts appended
inventory.channel-attention-reported
What a fact is: Facts and the journal.
AI agent tool
No agent tool. Called by the app that provides the channel as what needs looking at changes; an agent reads a channel's attention with inventory_list_channels and acts on it through the app's own tools.
Connecting an agent: AI agents.
Example
The web store's app says the store must re-approve a permission.

}The panel writes this call in other languages. It does not send it: Manifold's APIs do not take calls from a web
page on another site, so run the call from your own code or terminal. The whole API as OpenAPI: inventory-manager.openapi.json. Base URL https://inventory.getmanifold.io.
Errors
Every refusal is a status and a JSON body whose _tag names it. A refused call changes nothing.
