Inventory Manager API · assets
The bytes, for a caller holding a session rather than a signed URL
GET /assets/{assetId}/content
The bytes, for a caller holding a session rather than a signed URL: answers 302 to a signed URL for the object.
The bucket is private, so this and the signed URLs the reads carry are the only ways at a file.
Access
Requires products:read or stock:read.
Any one of these scopes is enough.
How scopes come from roles: Scopes and roles. Getting a token: Authentication and app tokens.
AI agent tool
No agent tool. Answers a redirect to the object's bytes; catalog_get_asset returns the short-lived signed URL an agent can hand on instead.
Connecting an agent: AI agents.
Example
Answers 302 with a Location header: a signed URL valid for fifteen minutes.
curl -X GET 'https://inventory.getmanifold.io/assets/ast_0097228e-4607-6b0a-ce7b-1fb43ebf3149/content' \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $MANIFOLD_TOKEN"const response = await fetch("https://inventory.getmanifold.io/assets/ast_0097228e-4607-6b0a-ce7b-1fb43ebf3149/content", {
method: "GET",
headers: { Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.MANIFOLD_TOKEN}` },
});
if (!response.ok) throw new Error(`${response.status}: ${await response.text()}`);Answers 302 with no body.
The panel writes this call in other languages. It does not send it: Manifold's APIs do not take calls from a web
page on another site, so run the call from your own code or terminal. The whole API as OpenAPI: inventory-manager.openapi.json. Base URL https://inventory.getmanifold.io.
Errors
Every refusal is a status and a JSON body whose _tag names it. A refused call changes nothing.
