Inventory Manager API · accounts

Ask the ledger apps that keep any of the chart to sync it now

POST /accounts/managed/sync

Ask the ledger apps that keep any of the chart to sync it now — the Sync button under Settings › Chart of accounts.

The webhooks service tells each (chart.sync-requested), and its sync lands as PUT /accounts/managed in its own time; read the chart again to see it. 409 ChartNotManaged while no app keeps an account. Appends inventory.chart-sync-requested. No idempotency key: each press asks the apps again, and a sync that finds the chart as it stands appends nothing, so a repeated ask changes nothing twice.

Access

Requires settings:write or financials:write.

Any one of these scopes is enough.

How scopes come from roles: Scopes and roles. Getting a token: Authentication and app tokens.

Retries

No idempotency key: each press asks the apps again, and a sync that finds the chart as it stands appends nothing, so a repeated ask changes nothing twice.

Why every write carries a key: Idempotency and retries.

Facts appended

  • inventory.chart-sync-requested

What a fact is: Facts and the journal.
