Point a staged or mapped job at another import target

PUT /imports/{jobId}/target

Point a staged or mapped job at another import target — the file was recognised as the wrong entity, or the caller knows better.

The mapping named the old target's fields, so it is dropped and the job is staged again; read the preview for the new target's suggested mapping. Appends import.target-changed. 409 ImportNotReady once the job is committed (queued), running or finished. Idempotent by content: asking for the target the job already has changes nothing and appends nothing.

Access

Requires imports:write.

How scopes come from roles: Scopes and roles. Getting a token: Authentication and app tokens.

Retries

Idempotent by content: asking for the target the job already has changes nothing and appends nothing.

Why every write carries a key: Idempotency and retries.

Facts appended

  • import.target-changed

What a fact is: Facts and the journal.

The panel writes this call in other languages. It does not send it: Manifold's APIs do not take calls from a web page on another site, so run the call from your own code or terminal. The whole API as OpenAPI: import-export.openapi.json. Base URL https://import.getmanifold.io.
