Fulfillment Manager API · history
Refund a historical order after go live
POST /historical-orders/{orderId}/refunds
Refund a historical order after go live: money back and, per named line, units returned (restocked or not).
Issues a credit note from the refunds series reversing the tax the order recorded. 409 RefundExceedsPayments past paid less refunded; 409 OverRefund past a line's units; 409 HistoricalOrderNotRefundable while read-only (before-go-live), for an open mirrored order, or restocking a line with no SKU. Appends fulfillment.historical-order-refunded. Idempotent on refundId: a retry answers the order as it stands and appends nothing.
Access
Requires orders:write.
How scopes come from roles: Scopes and roles. Getting a token: Authentication and app tokens.
Retries
Idempotent on refundId: a retry answers the order as it stands and appends nothing.
A retry with the same key answers 200, with what the first call recorded.
Why every write carries a key: Idempotency and retries.
Facts appended
fulfillment.historical-order-refunded
What a fact is: Facts and the journal.
