Auth API · apps

Remove an app from the organization

DELETE /api/auth/organizations/{organizationId}/installations/{appId}

Remove an app from the organization: every token minted for it from here on is refused, the webhooks service tells the app (app.uninstalled), and a first-party app never installs itself again without a fresh consent.

404 AppNotInstalled for an app the organization never installed. Appends auth.app-uninstalled. Idempotent by state: removing an app already removed is acknowledged and appends nothing.

Access

Requires a signed-in session: An owner or admin of the organization, checked against its membership by the route (the BetterAuth session or the person's tenant JWT for that organization)

How scopes come from roles: Scopes and roles. Getting a token: Authentication and app tokens.

Retries

Idempotent by state: removing an app already removed is acknowledged and appends nothing.

Why every write carries a key: Idempotency and retries.

Facts appended

  • auth.app-uninstalled

What a fact is: Facts and the journal.

AI agent tool

No agent tool. Removing an app cuts it off from the organization's data: an owner's or admin's decision in Apps, never an agent's.

Connecting an agent: AI agents.
